It's tuesday and a new week, and I've started it off right, I think. I cleaned my room somewhat today, cleaned the kitchen, and cleaned the living room, as well as doing all of my laundry (some of it has yet to be folded). James and I went to Chicago last night to see the Frames at this great little tavern called The Hideout, located bizarrely in the middle of an industrial park near a city truck depot and gas station. The Frames were great as usual, putting on a marathon three hour set started off by their aptly named road-crew band, The Wheels. The sound was wonderful, and the venue perfect for the band. It was intimate and interactive, with the audience singing along and shouting things out.
The audience was made up of many Irish people, strangely enough. Do all of these Irishmen and women live in Chicago? The expatriate community must be bigger than I thought. Anyway, there's not much else I can say about the show besides this: you must see The Frames live if you get a chance. The second best thing is to buy the album Set List.
It is what it is
