Wellety wellety wellety. I managed to drag my ass out of the house today, which is an accomplishment seeing as how I really don't have to. I went to the study abroad office, hereafter to be referred to as SAO. No dice, they say, we don't help with placement in work abroad. Go to the career center. So I'll do that, but not today. I came to the computer lab instead and decided to look up the State Dept. test and see what can happen with that. There are some problems with that whole thing, namely: they probably won't place me in europe, they probably won't let me choose where I go, and they generally place people in high-risk areas to begin with, or at least that's how it sounded on the web site. No good. I don't want to be one of these poor bastards getting blown up or my throat slit or whatever.
So I decide to look up embassy work in France, then Belgium. I am not proficient enough in French to get a job in France and if I was, the only job available is at a consulate in Nice part time, which pays 10 grand a year. NOT ENOUGH. So I'll go to the career center tomorrow, probably. For now I'm going to head to ISR and inquire about working in their illustrious cafeteria. Then I'll go to Erich's and see if I can finish reading England, England for one of my lit classes, then rustle up some grub some how, then go home and write a paper and do some reading for my other classes. Wish me luck.
