It's like if I didn't blog at work, I wouldn't blog at all.
I had a very satisfying drive to work today - I listened to Smog all the way there which is fantastic. The lyrics seem like they could border on sappy, but the music is so raw and the vocals so genuine sounding you can't help but be drawn in. It's great. I had my palm on the wheel of the caddy as I motored 294 N to 290 E to Congress to LSD to Belmont W and then finally to my destination. It was cool and misty and the skyscrapers of Chicago were barely visible until you were right on top of them. It's neat that you can hide a whole city like that.
I'm trying to decide whether to go to the city tonight or to my friend Bill's place in Brookfield. Part of me wants to just chill in the burbs, but I think a bigger part of me wants to go out and go a little nuts in the city, plus Boomsma's gonna be there which I like (I'm sweet on him).
I guess I was going to spew virulent poison about my employer, but it will have to wait. I'm too tired to do it. A plus tard.
It is what it is

i was hoping that you would like smog they do rock it well and the music is like nothing ive ever heard. jimmy just gave me some more of their stuff so ill have to pass it along. as any friend would. try listening to the 90 day men that i gave you. its a local chi-band and they play at the empty bottle every few. so if you like them we will have to see them, they play live just as they do on the album it really rocks you to the deep levels of your core. its a thing of beauty.
