It is what it is

I wouldn't say I've been missing it, Bob

D'oh. My first day at work late this week. I slept in on Monday - my mistake. Now my parents think I'm a flake for not showing up at their house to paint today. Jason, who went to the show last night, got back at 1:30. I went to bed much earlier anticipating being at work early. Jason had no choice in the matter being in the band. He forgot to bang on my door this morning, and I did not get up to remind him. It was my fault. I guess I'll go tomorrow but I have a feeling that I'll be the lone audience in an intense lecture. Fun.

A lot of people I know are annoyed that I don't have a cell phone. When did these things become so necessary? God, I hate them. Pip, James and I are looking at a place and hopefully have it, and I was thinking of popping for Vonage if we get broadband. A nice groundline would be a great thing to have. It's 25 a month, so cheaper than most cell phones. That, and people would be able to leave me a message at home, and I won't have to bother with that shite when I'm out.

Alright, I'm out to go meet Voss at Union Station for a little tour of the South Side on bicycles. I'm waiting for a new clasp in the mail from Nashbar for my bike saddle to keep it raised, as well as lights (for commuting at 5), new leather toe-clip straps, and new brakes. Little by little my old Bridgestone is becomming more and more awesome. Now I'll be able to stop effectively in the rain!

I'm only friends with people who have cell phones, so I guess this is goodbye Will. God, not having a cell phone is so un-Christian. It's like trying to talk into a gargoyle and relying on psychics to tell you where your friends are and what they're doing. You're going to hell.

Are you going to Champaign this weekend?

Sweet, tour of the South SIde. Gotta let me know how that is. I gotta weatherproof my bike better... Yours must be pretty kickass, you should post a picture of it!

With the exception of when cool people call me, I don't like my cell phone much either.. It's nice to disappear sometimes.
