Well, I suppose it wasn't a bad weekend at all. Friday night was pretty sweet. We hung out over at the ol' Crystal Palace, then had a wicked snowball fight in the alley out back. Schneider describes the teams in his blog pretty well. All I can say is that it was the best packing snow ever. The fact that there were no serious injuries is a plus. We proceded on to Rainbo where Boomsma, Mora, Pip and myself had a delightful photobooth. As soon as I find a scanner I'll post it.
The night proceeded to Estelle's, and the long line forced us back over to the drain of Wicker Park, Nick's Late Nite. Pretty fun, except I was too shitfaced to function and snuck out early. Erich, the sober witness, informed me the next day that he called me to get me back in the bar. 'You were talking to hot girls,' he said. I could only respond, 'My feet are wet, I'm going home.'
So it goes.
The next day I went to a benefit for muscular distrophy in Elmwood Park with my folks. Notables about that: I took the blue line from Division to the end of the line in Forest Park where my parents picked me up. I was exactly on time, no shit. It's like 18 stops away and I figured that there was no way to time that well. The official time: about 35 minutes if anyone needs to know.
We drove through Oak Park and my grandma (who caught a lift with my folks to the benefit) pointed to a house. 'There used to be a retarded girl that lived there. They had a balcony out front, and every once and a while you'd see her out there stark naked.' My dad responded, 'Maybe she was cold.' Grandma said, 'Well, I don't know about that, she was simple.'
I had to do my laughing on the inside for all of that.
The benefit was nice, and I got to talk to a bunch of interesting Walsh kin, but mostly my dad. He's got a good memory for who everyone is, and all of their stories, so as the micks say, it was good craic. I got a lift home from my uncle Terrence. He lives near me. We headed out to a great bar that I think everone should check out. I've been there before, and it's called the California Clipper on California and Augusta. Here it is:
Anyhow, the rest of the night really wasn't much. I went out with Kristin and Ross to a couple parties that really weren't reporting about at all. Sunday found me hurting a bit, and heading over to the Crystal Palace as usual, to piss away the afternoon with Jason watching football. We ended up getting a good game of tag football together at Wicker Park later on, featuring Ben, Jeff Schneider and myself versus Erich, Mariel, Jason and Nick as the latecomer in the role of all-time offense. We tied it all up, and it was pretty awesome snow football fun.
One final note on this epic post. My dad sent me a link to a pretty funny website. This is NSFW to those of you who have jobs and know the lingo. He doesn't know said lingo, and I opened it up first at work. Anyhow, it's a site showcasing peoples' faces whilst in the process of orgasm. I showed to everyone at Mora's on Wednesday and the girls were disgusted, and the dudes kind of fascinated. It's pretty funny and worth checking out: la petit mort

thanks for the NSFW, though I'm intrigued to check it out later.
I just ripped of a little death in my pants. I'm so jealous of you bastards and your snow. All we have here are alternating days of 60/30 degree weather and insanely cold rain.
yo, my tshirt made it onto college humor pics. Check it out and check out who submitted it... http://www.collegehumor.com/pictures/1652994/

Dude, I love Mitchum deoderant!
yo will you will never believe this, i barely do...i was playing partypoker last night (sweet, no class on tuesdays) and i was chatting up this marine while playing; discussing politics. We got into the war in Iraq and I was flagged and tossed off by some sort of chat monitor for talking liberal politics. I was beginning to turn this marine who was on break to my way of thinking, i guess that's no good. Sucks too because i was beating everyone 100 fold...
